How to create a Telegram bot without coding — using the ready-made bot catalog

You don't need to be a developer to launch a Telegram bot. If you need a bot that keeps your group clean, takes customer requests, or collects orders for your shop, you can use ready-made, tested bots without writing a single line of code. This guide walks you through exactly that, from start to finish.

Code or no code — which is right for you?

If your bot needs very specific logic (e.g. a complex integration with another service), having AI write the code or hiring a developer may be the better choice. But for most common tasks — group moderation, handling requests, surveys, queues, a shop, channel management — there's already a ready-made bot in the Ready-made bots catalog, and setting one up takes a few minutes.

Steps

1. Pick a bot from the catalog

Open the Ready-made bots catalog and find a suitable bot by category (group management, business and sales, services, etc.) or by description. Each bot's page details its features, commands and FAQs.

2. Click the button on the bot page

The bot page has a "Launch" button or (for bots that run on the free plan) "Launch for free" — it takes you to the setup form. If you aren't signed in, you'll first do a simple login via Telegram.

3. Get a token from @BotFather

Every Telegram bot first has to be registered through @BotFather inside Telegram, which gives you a token. This is your bot's "key" — never share it. Steps: send @BotFather /newbot, choose a name and username for the bot, and copy the token you're given. More: Getting a token.

4. Fill in the settings form

Each ready-made bot has its own list of settings: for example, a list of admins (your Telegram ID), a welcome text, a mode of operation. The form explains what each field is for; if you leave required fields empty, the bot won't start and you'll be shown exactly what's missing. More: How ready-made bots work.

5. Choose a plan

Many bots also run on the Free plan — you can start right away without adding a card. If your bot needs more resources (e.g. staying always on), you can switch to a paid plan at any time.

6. Add the bot to a group or channel (if needed)

For bots that work with a group or channel (e.g. moderation or post scheduling), the link on the bot page takes you straight to Telegram's "add to group as admin" screen — only the rights this bot needs (e.g. "delete messages") are requested, nothing more.

7. Test it

The bot starts in a few seconds. Message your bot in Telegram and send the /start command. Once you've completed any extra steps shown on the bot page (e.g. adding it to a group), the bot is fully ready.

What to keep in mind on the free plan

The Free plan only works with unmodified ready-made bots from the catalog, gives you 256 MB of RAM and limited resources; if the bot goes unused for a long time and the server needs resources, it may be put to sleep (it wakes within a few seconds on a new message), and a small "🤖 Botxona.uz" link is added to the end of its messages. That's how the platform gets introduced in exchange for a free service; you can switch to a paid plan and remove it at any time.

I want to change something myself — can I?

Yes. You can download any ready-made bot's source code as a ZIP from its page. Modify it yourself or with an AI assistant, then upload it as a separate bot on a paid plan — at that point it's no longer a "ready-made bot" but your own code, and it won't run on the Free plan.

Examples

For example, if you need to keep your group free of spam and ads, check out the Group Guard bot (detailed guide). Want to open a small online shop? See the Shop bot (detailed guide). Need to collect customer requests and complaints? See the Requests bot.

FAQ

Do I really not have to write anything to create a bot?

Correct — catalog bots come with ready-made code; you just fill in the settings form. You only need to write code if you want to add a custom feature yourself.

What if a catalog bot doesn't do what I need?

Download its source code, have an AI assistant add the feature you need, and deploy it on a paid plan as your own bot.

Can I run several ready-made bots on the free plan?

Usually one free bot is allowed per account (details); additional bots require a paid plan.
